the KL story

went over to KL last weekend....

day 1
we left for KL via the second link at tuas... a long queue at tuas checkpoint... cause its hari raya ... so i guess many family are also getting a quick get away for the weekend.... we cleared the malaysia checkpoint customs faster then singapore… i wander why its faster... incoming commuters supposed to take more time to clear customs,.. and singapore supposed to be more efficient... hmm... made at stop over for breakfast... reached berjaya time square hotel around 1.30pm...

we shop around times square….10 floors of shopping.. but around only 6-7 flr are occupied... it boost one of the world largest indoor theme park... and also has an IMAX theater...we visited the theme

went imbi plaza... which is like the singapore's sim lim square...lots of computer hardware... and pirated software too... kekeke...went sungei wang plaza... very crowded... great place to hunt for cell phone and everything’s else...visited other shopping complex around bukit bintan area...had our dinner later that.

day 2
had our buffet breakfast at the lobby cafe... we are off to explore KL more...
went medeka square... the place where malaysia usually hold their national day parade and other important national events... nothing much to see... got a tall flag pole... an open field... some old buildings... thats all...but its a tourist destination...

went central market... which sell lotsa handicraft stuff... woodcarvings... pewterwares... batik... jewellery... and many many stuff... good place to get souvenirs... spend some time there... remember to bargain if you want to buy anything... most of the items don't come with a price tag...
beside central market is china town... busy...crowded... and messy place...but you can find a lot of bargains there... especially fake branded hand bags...tees etc... again...if you happen to buy anything... remember to bargain...

next stop is KLCC... kuala lumpur convention centre... took a LRT train to KLCC station... inside KLCC is a spacious shopping mall ... you can find many branded shop you known there...quite a big shopping complex... too unfortunate that KLCC's observation deck ticket was all given out for that day…it had a 2000 visitor per day limit... :(we can only view the tower from the outside... behind KLCC is the central park.

we took LRT to bansar station... bangsar is very much like holland village... lot of eateries and pubs... good place to chill out... not much crowd when we were there.. probably because the night is too young...around 6.00pm...

went to IMAX theater to get tix (RM20 per tix) to watch "the polar express" 3D had our dinner at a street hawker stretch.. dun know wat is the street name... but very near bukit bintang street... the whole meal was rather good priced.. around RM45...for 4 dishes :P~

day 3
we decided to stay at the hotel to enjoy its facilities... went for a swim at the pool... too bad the men's sauna room is not functional... we left the hotel lobby for singapore at 3pm… reached malaysia checkpoint around 9pm... again.. was a breeze to cross... but there was a long bus queues at tuas checkpoint... again dun know why....hmmm...
