my niece's school play

taken by sis yesterday during my elder niece dance performance at her nursery school... she is 3 yr old... cute :) my mum said children are the most innocent... seeing them having fun is one of the most wonderful things...

company R&R @ china black

our company's RC club booked the whole china black from 7pm - 9pm on friday night... to celb halloween night... which is .. umm... duno wat day.. anyway.. free flow of house pour from 7pm - 9pm... had a few glasses... to bad the drinks are quite diluted... not nice... but a few 'on the rocks' is enough.. haha... anyway free flow...for just $5 to join the event... not a bad deal! :) turn out was like around 300+... not bad.. CEO was there to pick out lucky draw winners...and then he was off... too bad the party have to end at 9pm... the club is opening for public from 9pm onwards... but we are welcome stay on... heard that the crowd here is mostly youngsters from around 16 - 23 yrs old... not suitable for us aunties and uncles.. haha... left about 9pm+ when the bouncer started shooo us away from reserved seats...quite fun... we danced...joked.

oooo... spotted this in yesterday's today (!?) ... lovely eh... i always like seiko watch... they are good looking... hi tech... and not too expensive... i think this is a new model from seiko's sportura range... later got time go check out the price... lovely... ;)

lunch @ vienna int'l buffet

supposed too blog it down yesterday but to bz... had yummy buffet lunch yesterday @ united square... all at the expend from the company RC fund... if it's not spend, it will be taken away... i remember we had one about 1/2 yr ago... the same place... good variety of food... lunch is $25++... dinner is $32++ ...now at this kind of age... can't really sink much stuff down... not like the good old NS days...the restaurant will sure close down.. haha... how to enjoy buffet? usually most people just stuff all the expensive items or those they like to eat... but for me... to really enjoy and get the most out of your bucks is to sample all the food... that should be the way of eating buffet... no repeating of any food item… unless the variety are really that bad ...(so dun go there again!)

NKF screening

before i forgot... better qyuckly put that down.. to remind myself... i am FAT... yesh.. that is the conclucion after the NKF screening i had 2 days ago.. tuesday.. everything was fine... and in normal range... except the BMI and the body FAT percentage... i am in obease cat 1... 7kg way to FAT to be in the normal BMI. body FAT percentage is 23%... normal is 20% or below for guys... oh man... the person there keeps urging me to increase execise... reduce FAT... and also increase monthly donation to NKF...and reduce FAT.... how i wish.. if only FAT can turn into cash... will be more then happy to donate it all away... a college was told there were blood traces in his urin... his reply was he force too hard while preparing the sample... lol... i was considered ok... generally we are are quite healthy... that the most important... now back to FAT... how am i going to deal wif FAT... i do have a regular jogging routine...2x per week...(sometime 1... no choice.. too busy lah..) but usually twice if no rain no tunder... going for 3 times per week will kill me faster then my FAT... hahah...headache ahhh... just hope i dun increase more FAT...so i guess have to control my diet... casue i do eat a lot :P 减肥啊！

on leave

tursday afternoon... i am taking a day leave today... not planning to do anything... just wan to stay at home... listen to music... surf... play wif my 2 nieces... blogging.... actually its kinda hard to write anything or give any thoughts when you are doing absolutely nothing... its like brain dead... and this is just about that state what i am now... while blogging this... and now my eldest niece is just beside me... she is not allowing me to write anymore...she is taking over my pc .. by force.

20 cent wound

i hope my wound could heal faster.... so i can wear short sleeve and tees ... not that cannot wear with a plaster.... but just dun like the feeling.... have to always remember cannot rest elbow on the table or any where... have to constantly remind no to damaged it even further..... OUCH!... got it while blading @ ecp last sunday evening....we blade from ecp fort rd to the yacht club and back to fort rd... had a bad fall on the return route... created a chain reaction which cause 2 of my friends to fall also... hit a something... i think it's a twit... cause me to wobble about and cross into their path... and wamp!... and then aiyo here aiyo there... pain... so pai say.... luckily no ones is seriously hurt... except some scratches... for me i was rewarded with a wound.... slightly larger then a 20 cent coin near my right elbow....for speeding dangerously... hohoho... always tot elbow guard quite useless... didn't put on elbow guard that day... sway.

movie 2046

watched the chinese movie <<2046>> last sat wif a friend...starring.... Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Gong Li, Takuya Kimura, Faye Wong, Zhang Ziyi, Carina Lau, Maggie Cheung, Chang Chen.... basically a description of a writer's (played by Tony Leung) relationship with various women living in room 2046.... which he describe it as a train to the future 2046...where no ones comes back... (this is what i interpreted from it lah.. i dun know... )there are a few statements which come from the show which sound all too familiar and quite true.... (i think its like this...if i remembered correctly) "love cannot be insisted... sometime she it’s just because she dun like u..." another one... "love can only happen at the right time... cannot be too early ... or too late..."... and the last one.... which i found it quite true.... the story mentioned about him and the woman robots (i interpret them as the woman he loved) on board on the train bound to 2046.... although superbly constructed.... over the period of long journey to 2046... have becomes "retarded" ... it took them sometime to respond to the surroundings... when they laugh... it was only sometime later then they laughs ... when they cry... only sometime then they cry....i guess it quite true as in real life... a person ...in and out of relationships so much... will soon becomes like the robot... retarded for new relationship... the movie is quite slow... if u lost in the first science then u will lost all the way...a 2hr show... which seems like 3hr... be prepared not to sleep through it... i yawned quite a few times....but generally quite ok show.

good value wine drinking

good place to go if u wan to chill out with some friends and chat over good wines.... the place i went to last evening was called 'wine network' ...@ 13 dempsey rd ... they serve many kinds of wine... south africa... france....germany... australia... etc... all at very good price... much cheaper then those fancy wine bar... the place inside is quite small and cramp...i think they wan to accomodate more customer....it was fully packed yesterday night... partially cause by the rain.. all people sitting outside the garden have to shift in... but nevertheless the interior is simple and cozy with dim lighting... but nosy... u know.. the crowd gets kinda loud after a few rounds... :P u can choose to seat outside... in a small garden...which looks like a makeshift type...but quite nice....too bad we have to moved inside because of the rain... we ordered 2 type of wine... Indalo Shiraz 2002.. and Ashanti Chiwara 2001.. both are good... Indalo Shiraz 2002 has a kinda spicy taste... and Ashanti Chiwara 2001 has a nice fruity taste ... (no... i dun know how to taste wine...but at least i know it taste different... haha =P) get kinda tipsy after 2-3 glasses.. haha... there is another wine shop called 'wine company' around the corner... it also serves good priced wine.... we went over there to join friend’s friend.. (?!) .... tasted another bottle of wine... cannot recall what is the name.... but... it’s different... still fruity...mmm.. anyway.. the place was well lilted... looks and feel like a normal restaurant dinning area... but got couch and coffee tables... to laz on... :)

Jay's album, <七里香>... i simply love the song "七里香"... 曲 very nice... give you a feeling of lazy summer days.... another song is "解口" nice too.. can K in KTV =). the package also contain a MTV VCD and an aluminum box... nice... can use it to put ... umm... things.... another one i bought is dance compilation... "EQdance club" .. if u are a fan of WKRZ 91.3 fm... u will love this compilation... it contains a lot of (if not all) popular dance hits from the station... value for $... 3 cd... 3rd cd is a non-stop mix by 91.3 DJ jason chow....enjoy! =)

another boring work routine day

dear diary....nothing interesting to talk about today... woke up in the morning...go to work... have lunch.. back to work.... then OT... and i am back home liao.... blehh...yawn.... later have to go airport to fetch mum... she is coming home from her tour to china.... chendu... her flight is 12:50mn... better catch a nap first....

being a network administrator

that what i'm... a network administrator... who look after my client's network... and just about everything... beside that.. I can also do just about anything to it too... and that is what I did today.... an administrator who are bored and got a little time to spare will almost always do something funny... well... maybe not all... maybe its just me... what we did may sound a bit "boor liar " or sick to your... but my tummy nearly got cramp from laughing so intensively... so does my college's ... we pick a college who is unaware... and start to eject out his pc's cd-rom every few mins....while we hid behind our screen to perform our evil doing... whahaha... her expression start from shock...to annoying... slowly becomes curious and start looking up and down... asking left and right why her cd-rom keep ejecting for no reason...until she approached us and told us she got some problem... we just told her its may be some driver problem.... we will help her solved it... and solved it we did... she even said thank u!.... ohhh.. now i feel a bit guilty... but it really was funny... i dun think we will be telling her the truth... no way.. hahaha.. lol.. its been a long time since i laughed this hard.. :`) i wander when we can do it again... haha

an idea!

had dinner at cafe cartel just now... have this idea suddenly pop out of my mind... it happens that some of my friend order was grossly delayed ... they mentioned they have run out of mushrooms....and have to go buy.... we joked why not we bring all the ingredients for the chef there to cook.. like that there no more "run out of ingredients" excuse.... idea sia!!! we could set up a shop that only provides simple staple ingredients like rice, noodle, floor.. etc... the rest ask the customer to bring their own...bring whatever they wan....the chef will then ask how their food is to be prepared... give ideas and recommendation....and its is up to the chief creativity to prepared to the liking of the customer... and every week there would be some food theme... eg this week is "italian sea food bonza".. where the chef will prepared all kind of italiant dishes based on sea food... or "outback bbq feast" ... and the chef will prepared all kind of bbq stuff... all by making use of the ingredients the customer brings... hmmm... not bad eh...as for charges.. since its all BYO... the charges could be based on per head...like that customer will not bring too much food... nor to little headcount... hmmm...anyway... this it just a sudden thought.... its monday...a fresh new week! =)

seem like my birthday never ends.. hahah ....had a great time @ caro grandma condo's pool side yesterday evening.... prepared some food... bought some from zion hawker center to the pool side and had a small bd gathering.... i just go there..... and just prepared to eat and get sabo... hahah...its is my bd celebration together with another friend, fred.... eventually everyone got wet... jump into the pool and played monkey ball....swell...i got a book "Indo-Pacific Coral Reef Field Guide" good book.... lootsa marine life entries... very handy to identify those underwater life forms the next time i go diving again... thanks guys!... i like it =)

another boring day of work

tuesday is over.... after a whole day of work... dun know wat to say to say.. nothing interesting happening.... except works and more work agony... works starting to packed up for just 2 days of leave... maybe i am in the wrong profession... haha ... how i wish i could go for a super duper long long holiday.... so far all my so call holiday were so far short short type... last no more then 5 days...or just over the weekend... a super long break... 1/2yr maybe?... to get the feeling of dumping everything away just for that 1/2yr.... just like the feeling of leaping into the sea.... am i too selfish?... am i too indulged in all the fun to care about anything around me? i dun know.... probably i just need a long break.... enjoy your life... that what people said... hmmm... i am. yawn....

back to reality...

i'm back... too bad the “ ‘live’ moblog updating” mission failed once we crossed the 2nd link… the auto roaming GPRS function was not available.... same goes with MMS… duno why.. maybe its some mis-configuration.... but i was able too last time (who don’t... hah!).... lousy orange... but anyway... the trip was both tiring & fun... make some new friends....tiring part was the traveling... 4 of us are doing our adv certification, while the other 4 in our group went for leisure.... i would say the adv is nothing as compare to getting the open water certification... open water certification was much much more ‘siong’.... for us taking adv.... this is as good as a leisure trip =)... am still having the wobbling sensation now... well... anyway.. here’s a "brief" accounts on the trip...

9.30pm – it was a long wait… we board a mini van which will bring us to Mersing… where we will stay overnight @ Hotel Timotel... according to the dive operator.... its the finest hotel.... or motel u can find in Mersing town... Ah hui & Jason were going for leisure, bought some “cha kuay” to ‘bribes’ dive masters & instructors so they could go for night dive with their open water certification .. hahah..

10pm+ - made one stop over at petrol kiosk... bought some snakes and drinks... and we are on our way again....

12.30mn+ - reached Hotel Timotel....it was raining... couldn’t get any sleep during the bumpy ride... unloaded our barang barang... got our keys... head straight to our rm… a bit of wash-up.. and we are all in bed....

6.30am+ - morning call... feels damn sleepy still... wash-up and had our breakfast... breakfast was very simple... fried rice, fried be hoon, eggs, baked beans, toasts, coffee, tea....finished, load-up... chop chop...

7.45am+ - Mersing port was just around the corner... a few mins ride from the hotel.... we wait for a while and board a 30 seater small speed boat... and we are on our way to tioman!

10.30am+ – reached tioman... we are staying at Sarang Beach Resort... which is about 5-10mins walk from the jetty... very simple accommodation.... 4beds, air-con and fan... but no hot water... very rustic looks and feels... i like =) we hang around for a while.... unload our stuff.... changed to our swimming trunks, and we head back to the jetty.

11.30am+ - we board the diving boat... 5 of us (another guy also taking ad joined us) was briefed by our instructor on what drills we will be doing during the dive... while the rest get themselves prepared themselves and brief by the dive master, which will bringing them jalan jalan under then water... there are about 8-10 from the same dive shop doing their open water... the boat was quite pack.

12.05pm – first dive.... at soyak... we descend to the dept of 12.5m... where we practice our peak performance bouncy... aka, hover in the water while maintaining at the same dept by controling our breathing... the exercise was completed in around 20mins... the rest of the bottom time we went jalan jalan... visibility was great! around 20m... we saw a mid-sized school of baby barracudas... a blue spotted ray... hiding under the corals.... i spotted a dark brown moral eel.. tried to alert the others.. by waving and pointing... but sigh* everybody was busy looking here and there... well.. too bad! haha... my dive buddy, garfield was fining super fast... i was having a hard time keeping up with her... hahaha

(*** wow! that is quite a feat you have reach this far.... hahah ***)

12.50pm – headed back to land…had our lunch... lunch was good… nothing fancy... its was those ‘zi cha’ type of food... we talk cock and shared our experience... ah hui prepared his underwater enclosure for his camera...

4.00pm – 2nd dive... at telok kador... prepared some food and water... not heading back land after this.... we will be staying on the boat for our next dive... same as before.. briefed by instructor... and into the water we go... this time is practicing underwater navigation... how to use our finnings and watch to determine the distance we covered... how to use compass to swim in a square shape and end in the same spot as we started... my buddy got kinda confused when she did the square exercise... i was beside her... she signal me... but i can’t help her much.... it was fun... we spotted quite a big sized puffer fish like sort of fish (i forgot the name...) lion fish... and a mid sized kiss lip fish.... water sipped into ah hui’s underwater camera enclosure... he has to abandon his dive.... by the time he reached surface... it was already too late...

6.05pm – 3rd dive... fang canyon... hard some biscuit on board and off we go... this dive is a leisure dive... as there is no drift... so no drift lesson for us... nothing much to see... didn’t see anything interesting...visibility was not good .. around...around 8m?... the dive was short... around 30min... cause our surface interval was only around 1hr from the last dive... just to be safe... head back to land after that.

8.10pm – night dive...salong bay... just beside the jetty... excited... we practiced navigation again.... to let us have a feel of total darkness and using the torch... visibility was terrible.... the bottom was sandy and everyone is kicking up a mini sandstorm in the water... hahaha.... my dive buddy...garfield, got confused again...same thing.. i can’t help her.... as for me i overshot... ah hui and the rest of the divers managed to go for a night dive too...after that...its dinner and OTOT...there are a number of shops along the coast... we went shopping for more food and drinks...eat & eat & eat...haha

7.30am – morning... din sleep well... woke up a few time...had a simple breakfast… eggs, toast, sausage... and off we go…our last 2 dive…we won’t be coming back land till noon...

9.20am – 4th dive...chebay...going to do a deep dive today...at 28m...a long dive at this dept or more… diver might sometime get nitrogen narcosis….where divers will start to do funny things sometime...dangerous things like removing their mask...anyway...we were shown 2 simple question…to write our name in reverse order... and do a simple multiplying... i got both wrong... i think i didn’t see the question correctly… and end up writing all the people names in the right order after they have written theirs... hahah.. and for multiplying... i got it wrong at the start... 1 x 5 = 6…. must be some vision problem… i was think right u know... haha... i think no ones got the multiplying test correct.. haha…. this dive was to let us get a feel the effect... we tent to think slow and retarded... spotted some batfish... caro was having some difficuties asending becasue of her ear equalising problem... but eventually managed to surface safely... :)

11.00am – 5th dive... soyah... our last dive... this time will be doing search and recovery… we were taught 2 methods... the horizontal combing and the spiral type.. (i dun know the correct name... can’t remember..).. me and my dive buddy did the spiral type... where i hold a retractable rope and pivot on a spot... while my buddy hold the other end and swim out in a spiral circle... the rope got entangled to the coral one time because it was too lose... while my buddy con’t finning around... aiyo... hahaha... the rest performed the horizontal combing method... spotted some interesting sea slugs... more batfishes.... and that was the end... surfaced and back to land for lunch and be ready to leave by 3pm

3.00pm – packed our stuff... board the speed boat to mersing... damn sway... the speed boat ran out of patrol when we about to reach mersing.... we wait for another speed boat to transfer some people over... while the rest (we) waited in the small swaying boat... in the open sea for another 20min for them to bring more petrol... luckily the weather was fine and we are very near to mersing jetty... i almost puked.

5.30pm – bought some rambly burgers and we are on our way back to Singapore!
