picnic at botanic garden.

these are what we had for our picnic 2 weekends ago. there was a performance called “gift of love” by some talent agency… we sit quite far away, so can’t really see clearly what is happening on the stage. there were songs and dances… but we are not really concentrating on the performance, but on the food… haha :P~ ohh… here is a list of what’s in our basket: pasta, fried japanese rice with ‘special omelet’, sausages, japanese peas, fried poh piah, fruits, drinks and bailey’s on the rock :P~

lao yu seng

to chinese, the 7th day of lunar new year is also "the birthday of all mankind" the day which the first human was born(?). My family had our traditional lao yu seng at home to celebrate this day. strangely and uniquely, lao yu seng was only practiced by chinese in singapore, malaysia, and perhaps hong kong... the mainland chinese; china... does not practice this.
