yong PAP woman unit

read in paper that young PAP (or PAP? i dun know) had just setup a new unit called Young PAP Woman (YPW). i dun know what is the rational of setting up another unit since there was alreday a young PAP unit. i mean...young PAP not enought meh?! woman cannot join young PAP?!... woman being discriminated in young PAP is it??? er...'u dun know..only girls get it'? huh?! from my point of view, it a set back for people who call for man/woman equalisim in politics... it split the differents even more. next time wat?... national woman youth council???!!!... i dun know much about politics... but i can say its a waste of resources... yes.. gov are rich... but can rich for how long?

the amazing race 7

anyone watched the amazing race 9 on tcs 5 last night? its really amazing that the 2 old couple Meredith and Gretchen is still in the race by arriving 2nd at the pit stop! from the way the show was presented, it was to me that this old couple won't last long... Alex Ali and Lynn Warren (um...the gay couple) was eliminated last episode... one of my fav team... pity they are so cute.. haha... anyway... no team was eliminated this week, but the last team, Ron Young and Kelly McCorkle has to serrender everything... except their passports clothings they are wearing...but they still gain most, casue they won the 20K worth of vacation prizes... i wander how are they going to start next episode with no money on hand.

went to this newly builded community hospital, st andrew community hospital for some on job "ECA" works... accroding to the hospital managments, the funds to run the hospital is from public contributions... kinda makes me felt... does a community hospital required so much IT resources? yes... all public contribution, but IP phone systems for such a small hospital... i dun know...

bangkok trip

sawatdee khrap!... here is a brief cronical of my 25 april long weekend bangkok trip...

day 1...
reached bangkok international airport about 3pm local time... it was drizzling when we landed... linger around the waiting area for about 1/2 hr before we were transferred to bangkok palace... our hotel for the next 2 night...luckily the rain stop around 5pm.... and we are able to start exploring bangkok city from that onwards.... visited the famous '4 face buddha' and went shopping at MBK shopping centre and surrounding areas...(i wander why it is so popular with singaporean). experienced for the first time on the dare devil 'tuk tuk' taxi.... quite an experience... important to negotiate the price before jumping on... unless you are a bargain king... it is still better to take taxi which charge by meters... but sitting on one is quite 'siok' :)

day 2...
the sky was gloomy...we were told that frequent bypass shower was man made.. thailand is facing low rainfall this yr and seeding has to be use to create rain... left the hotel after breakfast for ½ day city tour to mae nam river and wat arun (temple of the dawn)... it’s a standard SOP syndicated ½ day city tour ...cause later the bought us to leather and jewelry shop...bleh... nevertheless... still a good tour for greenhorn bangkok tourist...kekeke... tipping is common but not mandatory...100 baht for both tour guide and driver...chatu chak is our next stop.... well all I can say is, if you did not visit chatu chak... you never visited bangkok (urm... i dun know it is so for patpong's night life). there is nothing much to do in bangkok except shopping... and chatu chak is the mother of all markets... only opened on weekends...always crowded and most shops close around 6pm... (i was told ok!)... dinner was the classic ‘cze cha’ wif shark fins soup and bird nest in chinatown... everything was good except the bird nest ... taste quite strange... every eatery along chinatown displayed 100% real bird ness... but at 80 baht a bowl ... it really had you wandered... nevertheless less... food is cheap here ;) ... oh yah... and traditional thai massage after that...siok!

day 3...
packed our trophies and stuff...morning flight to singapore... so done nothing but to wait for transport to the airport... our flight was delayed... only to reach singapore 4 plus... about 1 hr late... well.. that’s the end of my short trip...kop khun : )
